Prudential Preferred Helps Raise Over $40,000 for Area Causes

Posted October 21, 2014

Despite a small amount of light rain, the 23rd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic went off without a hitch as 125 golfers enjoyed great golf, food and a lot of reminiscing. Former Auburn Tiger greats including Lionel James, Ben Leard, Lee and Gabe Gross, Brett Eddins, Rusty Deen, Jason Bosley, Bill Newton and many others were on hand to support the efforts of the Auburn Letterman's Club and the Kiwanis Club of Opelika. In the end, we're excited to report that this year's Celebrity Golf Classic raised over $40,000 for worthy causes throughout the area.

The course at Saugahatchee Country Club was in excellent condition for golfers to qualify for Prudential Preferred Real Estate's "Win a New Home" Hole-In-One contest. You can see a full photo gallery here: https://bit.ly/1u19wE8

The top five golfers closest to the hole on #4 were given the opportunity to take a 165 yard shot on the 18th hole. The first hole-in-one would win a brand new $400,000 home built by Michael Allen Homes in Heritage Ridge at Asheton Lakes. Qualifers were Trey Henderson, Will Swift, George Liles, Jeff Tillery and Jaylon Ellison.

As you can see from the video below, they all gave it their best shot.

"We are honored to have played a part in this long-running tournament," commented Stacy Williams Jordan, Owner of Prudential Preferred Real Estate in Auburn, Alabama. "We enjoyed seeing some of our good friends from around the community as well as making some new friends that have meant so much to the Auburn family for so long. We certainly plan on seeing everyone again next year!"
