22 Agents Recognized for National Sales Excellence at the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Preferred Real Estate Annual Awards Dinner

Posted April 21, 2017

At their recent Annual Awards Banquet, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Preferred Real Estate presented numerous national sales awards recognizing top real estate sales performance in 2016. Most notably, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Preferred Real Estate received the Round Table Award as the #1 office in the South Region for residential units and third place in the South Region for GCI (Gross Commission Income). This is a tremendous accomplishment not only for the local office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Preferred Real Estate, but also for the Auburn-Opelika real estate industry as a whole. The agent team of Ryan Edwards and Annie Williams took home the year’s major agent/team awards. As Lee County’s #1 Real Estate Team, Ryan and Annie were presented with the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Top 100 Award, which establishes them as one of the top 100 individuals or teams in the entire country with a minimum of $1,000,000 GCI or 100 units. Annie and Ryan’s team were number 49 for total residential units & number 89 for total GCI out of 42,300 agents in the country. The team was also named Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chairman’s Circle Diamond Award winners which recognizes individuals or teams that obtain a minimum $750,000 total GCI or 150 residential units in 2016. These are some of the highest awards an agent or team can be recognized for in the Berkshire Hathaway family.

The Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chairman’s Circle Platinum Award recognizes individuals or teams that obtain a minimum $500,000 total GCI or 100 residential units. Our 2016 Chairman’s Circle Platinum winners are Don & Diane Wilbanks.

Debbie Whitley, Jay Knorr and Ryan Roberts were presented with the Chairman’s Circle Gold Award for teams or individual agents who attain a GCI of $280,000 or 70 residential units.

Two agents were honored with the President’s Circle Award, recognizing individuals or teams that obtain a minimum $185,000 total GCI or 50 residential units. New President’s Circle members are Jenifer Lovvorn and Soohyun Baik.

Recognized for outstanding sales execution are our newest members of the Leading Edge Society, recognizing individuals or teams that obtain a minimum $120,000 residential GCI or 35 units. Congratulations to Brooke Pierce, Amy Smith, Duffy Stewart, Alex Acuff, Sallie Deen, Stephanie Howard and Alice Nelson.

The Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Preferred Real Estate Honor Edge Society (for Commercial Divisions) recognizes individuals or teams that obtain a minimum $75,000 commercial GCI or 25 units in 2016. Lee Alice Johnson (not pictured) was presented with this distinctive commercial award.

Kristi Smith, Hap Gregg, Jana Jager, Samantha Copelan, Mary Gail Golden were all inducted into the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Honor Society which recognizes individuals or teams that obtain a minimum $75,000 residential or commercial GCI or 25 units (Kristi, Hap and Mary Gail not pictured).

Along with the national top performance awards were two local office awards created by the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Preferred Real Estate staff. The first award is a bit tongue-in-cheek and was born after the 2016 Annual Christmas Party when one agent displayed exemplary dance floor skills - executed with fearlessness, enthusiasm and panache. In a unanimous decision, Brandon Kohn was awarded the Dance Hip-Hop Sport Burst Male Award presented for the best Christmas Party dance performance.

The second award is not quite so tongue-in-cheek. The Amy Smith Good People Award is presented to an agent or staff member who is always helpful, noticeably active in the company and willing to volunteer anytime help is needed.

“The problem we faced was that you cannot give this type of award out to anyone without giving one to Amy Smith,” said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Preferred Real Estate Broker Taylor Britton. “So we just named the award for Amy. That way everyone will know immediately what the award signifies. It’s for being a wonderful person, or in Amy's words, 'good people'.”

The winner of the Amy Smith Good People Award for 2016 was Jared Jordan.

After the Awards Banquet, agents, support staff and family all enjoyed a great time of fellowship, celebration and dancing. The bar has been raised for 2017 and everyone at Auburn-Opelika’s #1 Real Estate Company is excited for the challenge.
