Biography and Background
Darrell is a native of Marshall County, AL. He and his wife, Leigh, have been married for 39 years and have lived in the Auburn and Lake Martin areas for the past 12 years. The Coopers are graduates of Auburn University.
Darrell has a passion for working with and serving people. He is a retired school superintendent, serving public schools in Alabama for 33 years. Additionally, he has been a member of and served in leadership positions for numerous non-profit organizations throughout his life. As he approached retirement in his educational career, it was important for him to find an avenue to stay connected with people. His past experiences of servant leadership in education and non-profits coupled with his life-long interests in real estate, led him to secure his real estate license in 2018.
Darrell currently serves buyers and sellers as a professional real estate agent in the Auburn, Opelika, and Lake Martin areas. Because of his value of teamwork and understanding of the rewards a strong team brings, he proudly joined the team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Preferred Real Estate, in Auburn. Their team is strong and well established, leading Lee County in sales for the past 15 years.
