Biography and Background

I was born and raised in Auburn, Alabama! It was such a cool and magical place to grow up! My father, Paul Downer, was a local builder for over 30 years and my mother, Sheri, just retired from Auburn University where she worked for 43 years. To say, "I bleed orange and blue," is an understatement!

After graduating from Auburn High School, I went on to pursue my education at Auburn University. I then furthered my education, getting a master’s degree, from AUM. I met my husband Phillip while in college. He graduated from Auburn with a Building Science degree and is a local builder. We have three amazing children that keep us very busy!

Serving this community either as a classroom teacher and realtor® has been my passion for over 20 years. I loved my time teaching for Auburn and Opelika City Schools, and I feel like that time helped me cultivate a lifelong bond with the people (big and small) of Auburn, Opelika, and Lee County. Real Estate has become my full-time profession and I serve the Lee County, Auburn, Opelika, and surround areas! I love connecting with clients and helping them connect with this area. Teaching clients the ins and outs of selling and buying property is a passion that I love to embark on.

Buying or selling a home is one of life's biggest decisions. It can be stressful but also very fulfilling. I love helping clients navigate this journey. Knowing that I was a part of helping them lay down roots or embark on a new journey is so powerful and one I take great pride in.
