Biography and Background

Originally from Maryland, Michy earned a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!). She then worked as a Special Events Manager in Richmond where she met and married her Navy Pilot husband, Tim. She then relocated with her husband to Jacksonville, FL and then made their way to the lovely village of Opelika!

Being married to a Navy pilot, Michy’s family has relocated several times and weathered multiple deployments. She understands all too well the stress of military life, and she gets great satisfaction out of using that experience to help clients, and especially military families, through that sometimes-challenging process.

Michy’s relocation experience comes in handy while helping clients find their dream home. She loves the Auburn/Opelika community and wants to show her clients all it has to offer.

A bit of a foodie, Michy loves to cook for her husband and their young daughter Anna (6). She wishes she could garden, but has learned that shopping at the Opelika Farmers Market is much easier. Michy loves old houses, concerts in the park, travel, any reason to host a party, making homemade eggnog at Christmas time and has a serious obsession with Pinterest.

A REALTOR since 2011, her experience in hospitality, tourism, special events property management and design has been a true asset for both buyers and sellers. Recognized as a top producer in the East Alabama market, Michy also has the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) certification, the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation, e-Pro®, GRI, C2EX, At Home with Diversity Designation (AHWD), Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Certification (SFR) and is a Dave Ramsey ELP currently on baby step 6!
